The Lead Veterinarian serves as the medical leader of the practice, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that results in an excellent treatment experience for the patients and clients they serve, as well as an excellent employment experience for the practices patient care team. The Lead Veterinarian works with the associate veterinarian and the Regional Medical Director to help ensure that quality and appropriate veterinary medicine is performed within the practice. Additionally, they partner with the Practice Manager in matters of general management, staffing/scheduling, as well as ensuring that operational and financial goals are being met. This position will be supported in-hospital by the previous lead veterinarian, so they are happy to consider veterinarians with strong leadership experience or less experienced veterinarians with goals of leadership in the future. The hospital is a multi-doctor, full-service companion animal hospital. They are committed to providing quality veterinary care for small animal and pocket pet patients. Their hospital is designed for them to provide routine preventive care for young pets, early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages, and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during their lifetime. They have digital radiographs, digital dental radiographs, surgical laser, cold/therapy laser, and a dedicated surgical suite. They keep up to date on new techniques and medicine, utilizing AVImark for electronic medical records.
