We are looking for a certified Veterinary Technician to join our small team at our rural, private owned practice. This is a full time position of 40 hours a week.
We are a team of about 10 on a daily basis. We work closely together and are looking for another team member who has initiative and a drive to provide good medicine for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Safely handling dogs and cats for exams
- Filling prescriptions
- Facilitate Doctor/Client communication and care during appointments (preparing vaccines and filling preventatives)
- Radiology, phlebotomy, running lab work
- Helping with reception as needed
- Anesthesia, dentistry, surgical monitoring and assisting
- Kenneled dogs
- Daily hospital cleaning like laundry or mopping floors
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, sterility, and care practices, preventatives and vaccines,
- Associates degree, CVT, or equivalent
