Practice Overview
Here at Parkview Animal Hospital, we take pride in delivering personalized, compassionate care to our patients and their guardians. Our straightforward and honest relationships with our clients have built a culture of loyal clients who are a pleasure to work with. We are two doctor, privately owned practice. We believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance, which is why we offer flexible scheduling. We truly have a great team and we are looking for a technician that will only add to our existing dynamic.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Assist veterinarians with exams, vaccinations, treatments, surgery, dentistry, and animal restraint
- Administer anesthetics or sedatives under the direction of a veterinarian
- Surgical prep, pre- and post-op care, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement
- Taking radiographic images and performing sample collections, including cystocentesis
- Microscope slide preparation and reading for cytology, blood smears
- Obtain and document patient medical information
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Maintain a high level of client communication and patient care - verbal and written.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in veterinary medicine required
- Experience with animal restraint, general animal care, surgical experience, pre- and post-op care, dental, and radiographic imaging required
- Flexible Scheduling - Rotating Evening Shifts Required
- Demonstrated passion for patient care and client service
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient with computers, able to learn required software programs
- Team player with the ability to work independently to meet goals and objectives
- Strong commitment to ethics and integrity
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
