About the In-Patient Care Technician

We are looking to add to our growing hospital and are in search of a In-Patient Care Technician to join our team. You will provide compassionate care for hospitalized patients preoperatively and postoperatively, perform treatments, and assist with diagnostics for in-house patients. Youll work closely with our veterinary team to ensure each patient receives the highest standard of care throughout their stay.

Schedule & Compensation

Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 5am 3pm and Saturday 6am 4pm

Compensation: From $20/hr

What Youll Do

  • Monitor and care for non-critical patients
  • Assist with inpatient diagnostics
  • Prepare and manage patient recovery from anesthesia
  • Prioritize tasks, multitask efficiently, and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members, both verbally and in writing
  • Communicate with clients, and team members (verbally and written)
  • Fear Free handling: safe, stress-free interactions for team members, clients, and patients
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in veterinary medicine
  • Current CVT/LVT/RVT preferred or educational equivalent.
  • Experience with surgery cases (knowledge of procedures and post-op care) is preferred
  • Sound knowledge of medical terminology and medications
  • Broad knowledge of basic small animal medicine (pharmacology, proper restraint/handling, venipuncture, laboratory testing)
  • Attention to detail and a calm demeanor
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, environment
  • Proficient computer skills
