Veterinary Technician

Red Barn Veterinary Service is currently seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team in Sidney, IL. As a Veterinary Technician at Red Barn, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients.

Job Expectations:

• Assist veterinarians in small animal care procedures
• Monitor post anesthesia during surgical procedures
• Must be a Registered/Certified Veterinary Technician
• Provide preventive care to ensure the health and well-being of animals
• Fear Free Certified to create a stress-free environment for animals
• Perform IV catheterization and dental prophylaxis
• Administer medications and assist with surgeries
• Provide critical care and discharge planning for patients
• Perform venipuncture, triage, and X-rays
• Experience with wellness exams and monitoring vital signs
• Assist with cremation services 
• Must be able to kneel, squat, bend, carry, and stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds
• Must be RELIABLE, on-time, and prepared to grow in your career
• "Jump-in" attitude where help is needed at anytime.

Salary:

The salary for this position ranges from $40,000 to $56,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
