Veterinary Technician

Private small animal  hospital  looking for experienced  veterinary technician.  Essential skills as follows but not limited to :IV catheter placement/ fluid therapy, Intubation, anesthesia,  surgical monitoring,  radiographs, dental radiographs and cleaning.  Vaccine protocol, proper / safe animal handling and restraint.  Medication knowledge and dosage calculations.  Knowledge of Cornerstone a plus! Good client communication important.   Rotating Saturday morning schedule.  No Sundays  No nights.  Major Holidays paid after 6 months.   1 week paid vacation after 1 year,   2  weeks after 2 years.  Accrued sick time.   401K  If you're passionate about the health of animals, give us a call and work with us (not for us) to improve the health and well being of our furry family members.  In house and reference lab, in house pharmacy, digital x-rays.   We have a 4.5 day work week.   Monday, Tuesday, Friday  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM  Thursday are surgery days  8:00 – 5:00.  Saturdays 8:00  -  1:00 with the last Saturday of the month closed.  Wednesday and Sunday closed. Salary starting $18.00 / hr  based on experience.
