Veterinary Technician

We are a private small animal hospital seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. If you’re passionate about animal health and want to work with us (not just for us) to improve the well-being of our furry family members, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• IV catheter placement and fluid therapy
• Intubation and anesthesia administration
• Surgical monitoring
• Radiographs (standard and dental)
• Dental cleanings
• Safe animal handling and restraint techniques
• Vaccine protocol administration
• Medication knowledge and dosage calculations
• Client communication and education

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Cornerstone software is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule:

• Full-Time (4.5-day work week)
  • Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Thursday (Surgery Day): 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (rotating schedule; last Saturday of the month closed)
  • Wednesday & Sunday: Closed
• No night shifts
• No Sundays

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting salary: $18.00/hr (based on experience)
• 401(k) plan
• Paid Holidays (after 6 months)
• Paid Vacation:
  • 1 week after 1 year
  • 2 weeks after 2 years
• Accrued sick time
