In 2001, 36 local veterinarians provided a solution to a critical need for accessible emergency veterinary care in Northwest Indiana (NWI) and combined forces to create Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC), formerly North Central Veterinary Emergency Center. Their shared resources, experience, and knowledge provided accessible emergency veterinary care for animals across NWI, making it possible for pet owners to get fast, high-quality help at any hour.

Our journey began with one mission; to provide a higher standard of veterinary care in NWI, starting in Westville. Now we have expanded our reach across Northwest Indiana, Southwest Michigan, and the greater Chicago area, and look forward to continuing this growth–bringing compassionate emergency veterinary care wherever it is most needed! Each of our hospitals is proudly run and managed by skilled veterinarians and dedicated team members ready to serve the four-legged friends who bring us so much joy.

Since our first facility opened its doors so many years ago, we have always been committed to providing compassionate and high-quality emergency veterinary care for pets and their families in the communities we serve. While our hospitals may have evolved and grown over time–as well as our team–this commitment has stayed just as strong through it all.
