Dr. Kristine Laabs established the practice in 1997, and ever since it has continued to grow alongside the community with a loyal client base and a reputation for providing a high standard of compassionate veterinary care. Today Chapin Veterinary Care Center occupies a modern facility in the heart of Chapin with a beautiful and spacious building and high-quality diagnostic equipment. Being privately owned by one veterinarian allows our clinic to craft its unique policies and culture that are supportive of our team and employees as well as providing the highest level of care to our patients and clients.

Chapin is a beautiful Southern town that has retained its small-town charm even as it is growing tremendously due to its well-earned popularity as a wonderful place to live! With award-winning schools, a beautiful lake and several parks and recreation centers, it’s easy to see the appeal for families and people of all ages. The nearby capital city of Columbia offers many opportunities for shopping, dining, and entertainment with the University of South Carolina nestled in the middle of it all, as well as Riverbanks Zoo and several National Parks in the area to explore. Due to our central location in the middle of the state, we are only an hour or two from the beautiful South Carolina beaches and the Smoky Mountains when you need a vacation or weekend away!
