Our clinic was founded in 1987 by Dr. Mitchell Moses. The clinics original name was Oaks Village Animal Clinic, and it was located in a 1650 square foot retail space across the street from our current location. Dr. Moses had small living quarters in the clinic, and actually lived at the clinic for the first year in business.

Dr. Gregory Darbro purchased the clinic in January 1993. At that time the entire staff consisted of 1 receptionist/technician, and 1 kennel assistant. Initially, we saw all our own emergencies, and were on call 24 hours a day.

As the clinic grew, our first full-time associate vet was hired in June 1998. The clinic moved to its present location in August 1998, and was originally 3500 square feet in size, the clinic ended at room 4.

Dr. Timothy Bowe joined the clinic as a full partner in June 1999. Dr. Darbro and Dr. Timothy Bowe went to school together and made (and still make) a wonderful team for the community. Many of Dr. Bowe's clients followed him to North Colony Animal Clinic.

The clinic continued to grow, and in 2001, was expanded to 5600 square feet. The addition included 2 new exam rooms, a grooming area, extra kennel space, another treatment area, a business office, break room, and recovery area. We began to offer expanded boarding services, and grooming services. A third veterinarian was required by 2003 due to the increase in our clientele.

Dr. Kathleen Bowe joined our clinic staff in March 2009 ,as the permanent third veterinarian, after 15 years of working as an emergency vet at the Emergency Animal Clinic of Collin County. She also went to school with Dr. Darbro and Dr. Timothy Bowe and has brought with her an integral knowledge base of emergency medicine, emergency surgeries, and new ways to treat every day cases.
