Dr. Candice Chintis has a broad range of experience ranging from performance events to veterinary work. Based on this 35 years of experience in the Tucson and Marana area, Dr. Chintis took this opportunity to develop her vision of a modern animal care facility that will serve this fast growing community into the future.

Mission statement:
The mission for Avra Veterinary Services is to use the extensive veterinary knowledge and experience of our founder, Dr. Candice Chintis, to facilitate optimum health, recovery from injury, and superior conditioning to both equine athletes and companion animals. Our clients will benefit from using a multimodal approach. Avra Veterinary Services standards provide personalized care tailored to the individual needs of the client in order to provide a health and fitness experience of superior value and quality.
Description of Facility:
Our veterinary facility is divided into two components. Avra Equine Therapy offers state-of-the-art treatment with access to a wide range of therapy modalities and medical services for our equine clientele. The ECB aqua treadmill and cold salt water spa are the most crucial components of treatment and provide the ability to condition, rehabilitate, and heal equine patients. Other available therapy tools include, PEMF, Respiratory therapy, acupuncture, Game Ready cold compression, chiropractic, Theraplate, massage, and a flexerciser.
Avra Veterinary Clinic provides our clients and the community with a professional and caring veterinary experience. Like our Equine Therapy facility, our small animal Clinic uses the most modern equipment to diagnose, treat and provide therapy for our clientele.
Locations & Facilities
Avra Veterinary Services is located in northwest Tucson at 12805 W. Emigh Rd, Tucson, AZ 85743. The facility is on 10 acres housing both equine and small animal facilities. The Equine Therapy unit includes a 1500 square foot treatment building with an 8000 square foot patient stable. The 2500 square-foot small-animal Clinic has three treatment rooms, operating room and recovery unit.
Technology
Avra Veterinary Services uses veterinary exclusive management software for record keeping, inventory control, invoicing, receipts, and payroll. The use of this specifically designed software streamlines patient record keeping, therapy planning, invoicing, payments, and inventory, leaving more time for therapy implementation and client care.

Testimonial: These horses. I love these creatures. I also love their stories and getting a chance to make these animals feel better and perform better. Fancy might be a particular favorite of mine. She’s a 20 year old mare who has completed 4,000 miles of search and rescue on the pacific coast in her life time.
