Job Description
Are you a passionate, experienced, and kind-hearted veterinarian looking for an opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of pets and their families? Join our dynamic team at Locust Grove Veterinary Hospital, where we are dedicated to providing the highest quality veterinary care in a compassionate, family-friendly environment. Our mission is to keep pets happy and healthy for many years by treating them with the same love and care we would offer our own family pets.
We are seeking an exceptional Veterinarian to join our team and help us achieve this vision. With state-of-the-art equipment, a modern and welcoming facility, and a strong focus on continuing education and professional development, this is the perfect opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to thrive and grow with a team that truly values both patients and staff.
Why Choose Us?
- A Family-Oriented Atmosphere: We treat pets as if they were our own family, and our clients feel the same way. We are a close-knit team where collaboration, respect, and communication are at the heart of everything we do.
- Comprehensive Care: From routine wellness exams and vaccinations to advanced surgeries, rehabilitation, holistic treatments, and dentistry, we provide a wide range of services that enhance the health and quality of life for our patients. You’ll have the opportunity to work with the latest veterinary technologies like digital x-rays, dental x-rays, and cryosurgery.
- Cutting-Edge Treatments: We are proud to offer holistic therapies such as acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, therapeutic laser, and spinal musculoskeletal therapies, giving you the chance to integrate a well-rounded approach to patient care.
- Modern, Fully-Equipped Facility: Our clinic has been updated with the latest equipment, including in-house lab services, digital imaging, and advanced surgical tools. We’re fully equipped for advanced diagnostic care and patient monitoring.
- Opportunities for Growth: We’re not just looking for a veterinarian – we’re looking for a leader who can help us expand. The current owner is open to the possibility of a practice buyout or ownership transfer, so this position could be the perfect step for someone looking to make a long-term commitment and grow into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality veterinary care for a wide range of conditions, from routine wellness exams to complex diagnostic cases.
- Perform surgeries, dental procedures, and other clinical tasks with precision and care.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pet’s health needs, treatment options, and preventative care.
- Collaborate with our dedicated team of veterinary technicians and staff to provide exceptional patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest veterinary medical advancements and continue education to offer the best care possible.
- Embrace a compassionate, holistic approach when needed, alongside traditional veterinary treatments.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
- A kind and gentle approach to animal care, with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Experience in small animal practice, with knowledge and proficiency in surgery, diagnostics, and dental care.
- Certification or experience in holistic treatments (such as acupuncture or rehabilitation) is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills with clients and a collaborative mindset with your team.
- Dedication to continuing education and keeping current with advancements in veterinary medicine.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Paid Time Off (PTO), vacation, and employee discounts.
- Opportunities for professional development and continuing education.
- Supportive, fun, and collaborative work environment.
- Potential ownership transfer or buyout opportunity for the right candidate.
If you’re looking for a rewarding and fulfilling career in a clinic that values compassion, collaboration, and the highest standards of care, we’d love to hear from you. Take the next step in your veterinary career by joining us in providing top-tier care for the pets that we all love.
