Veterinary Assistant or Technician

We are looking for a veterinary technician or assistant to join our team! This is a full-time position that includes benefits. 

Located in the rapidly growing and family-friendly lakeside community of Chapin, South Carolina, Chapin Veterinary Care Center is a privately owned multi-doctor small animal veterinary practice that highly values building strong and lasting relationships with our staff, clients, and patients.

Schedule:

• Full-time position only

• Two shifts available from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4PM, or 9AM to 6PM (both shifts include a one-hour lunch break)

• Approximately one Saturday morning per month, 7:30 AM  to 12PM

• Consistent schedule with no surprises

Diagnostic & Medical Equipment

• Fully digital x-ray, dental x-ray, therapeutic laser, ultrasound

• In-house Idexx VetLab station that includes cheministry analyzers, SNAP pros, Sedivue, Fecal Imagyst

• Cornerstone software – nearly paperless and lab-synced

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or technician, ideally at least one year

• Basic skillset including:

  • Proficient in animal restraint- dogs and cats

  • Assisting in appointments and surgery

  • Venipuncture

  • Processing and running labwork samples on in-house diagnostic equipement 

  • Anesthesia Monitoring

  • Basic computer and typing skills

  • Navigating veterinary practice management software
