What Youll Do

As a Veterinary Technician Assistant - Discharge , youll play a critical role in supporting our clinical team by helping patients transition home after hospitalization or treatment. In this hands-on role, you will:

  • Assist discharge nurses in appointments and discharge preparations
  • Communicate with clients and team members (both verbal and written)
  • Prepare patients for discharge, including removal of IV catheters, fitting e-collars, and assisting with loading pets into vehicles
  • Support general patient care responsibilities including laundry, husbandry, walking dogs, and cage cleaning
  • Perform digital radiographs and assist with diagnostics as needed
  • Stock and organize supplies throughout the hospital
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment that meets the highest standards of care
  • Collaborate with our nursing and support teams across departments
  • Provide compassionate communication and support to clients navigating post-hospital care
  • Stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and empathy

Anticipated Schedule

This is a full-time position with the following schedule:

  • Wednesday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM & Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Please note that some holidays are required.

Compensation

  • Starting at $19.00/hr

  • Has at least 1 year of experience in a veterinary setting
