The Humane Society of Atlantic County is a 501c-3 organization. The Atlantic City location operates a busy veterinary hospital and a full service animal shelter. The shelter takes in most of its dogs from over-crowded shelters so they can be adopted. All HSAC animals recieve the same veterinary care our hospital reccomends for our client's animals.
The staff works together as a team, both shelter and hospital staff. Working conditions can get tight as we are very busy but the shelter and hospital are fully equipped to handle anything from simple illness to orthopedic surgery.

Being a non-profit, we are able to put the animals first, above finances. The hospital is reduced costs in most cases, but our staff are paid industry standards. Personal Time Off and medical insurance is available to our full and prime time employees.

The HSAC has operated at the Atlantic City location since 1968. many staff members have 10 years of service with the Director having 37 years experience here.
